Dutch apartments are often handed over with nothing in them, sometimes not even lamps or curtain rails. Without a car you cannot collect a wardrobe, and delivery slots at the big shops fill up weeks ahead in August and September.

Most people arrive days before a contract or a semester starts. We can usually be there within a few working days, and same or next day with an urgency surcharge if the schedule allows.

From IKEA, a web shop, a charity shop or a Marktplaats seller. We can arrange the pick-up directly with the shop or the seller, so you do not have to be there.
Up to your floor, stairs included. Bed, wardrobe, desk, table. Groningen stairwells are narrow and steep; that is normal work for us.
Cardboard and polystyrene go back in the van and to the recycling centre. Anything the previous tenant left behind can go in the same trip.

Most contracts here require the property back in the state you received it, and that is rarely the same as empty and clean.
Two to four weeks before you hand over the keys. Your landlord tells you what still needs doing, and you have time to do it yourself instead of being charged for it.
The report from the day you moved in states what you have to return. Drill holes, self-laid flooring and painted walls are what people are charged for most often.

Yes. We work in English every week, mostly for people who have just arrived. You can send us a message in English on WhatsApp and we answer in English.
In a single day we can collect furniture from IKEA, Marktplaats or a charity shop, carry it up to your floor, assemble it and take the packaging away with us. Most one-room set-ups fit in one trip. For a whole apartment we usually plan two.
Not for the collection. We can arrange the pick-up directly with the shop or the seller. You do need to be at the delivery address, or leave a key with someone, because we hand the items over in person.
Within the city you pay a EUR 49 call-out fee plus EUR 65 per hour for the van and driver, with a minimum of EUR 69 per trip. A second person for heavy items is EUR 39.50 per hour extra. Assembly time runs on the same hourly rate, charged per started quarter of an hour.
In Groningen a studio starts at EUR 339, an apartment at EUR 399, a terraced house at EUR 599 and a large home at EUR 789. These are indicative prices including VAT for private customers, based on two movers and a van.
Yes. We load it and take it to the recycling centre. You pay the fee the recycling centre charges plus EUR 25 handling. We do not take asbestos, chemical waste, paint or gas cylinders.
Most rental contracts require the property back in its original state. We clear the furniture, take what is left to the recycling centre and can do the final clean. Ask your landlord for a pre-inspection two to four weeks before you hand over the keys, so you know what still needs doing.
